Description of ServiceAirport reception, assurance of basic needs, case management, life skills education, transportation assistance, cultural adaptation, referral for educational and vocational training, employment development and placement, assistance with family reunification, English as a Second Language tutoring referrals, case management referrals, medical and mental health referrals, elder services, language interpretation, liaison services with other providers, advocacy.

Intake ProcedureFederal Government referral of primary refugee cases; self referral whether through office visit or phone contact; client referral by service providers; all clients will meet with a case manager for an initial intake and assessment of their need of service; referral to additional providers may be necessary in some cases; appointments may be available outside of regular hours of operation.
Intake RequirementsI-94 for refugees, granted asylum letters for asylees, for secondary migrant information on their previous resettlement agency and history of residence in the United States, T visa certification for trafficking victims, relevant government issued paperwork for Vietnamese American, Cuban or Haitian entrants.

EligibilityIndividuals who are resettled refugees, secondary migrants in the City of Portland must have moved to Maine within their first 30 days in the United States, and aslyum granted individuals.
